Did you know there are places you can take your truck that have people that will do the work for you?

Are you crazy??? I'm not letting some idiot 18 year old touch my truck. End up with some gorilla putting that oil filter on tighter than a porn star. Or an impact wrench on the drain plug or something.

Hmm... Interesting. As of 2015, there were over 263.6 million vehicles registered in the US. I would think that the overwhelming majority of them are serviced professionally - and that the overwhelming majority of those serviced are without issue.

Sounds like an excuse. Work between raindrops. Can't be raining round the clock.

Looks like it might stop late day - have it all ready - then a leaf blower to dry the truck and concrete within reason ...
At least get the fuel filter - that Delo will hang tough ...

Rain? Try working in sub freezing temps. with snow and ice on the driveway.

Good lord.

Opinion - stop hand wringing over it and do it. What will it take two hours tops (even with BITOG OCD set on maximum)... surely there are 2 rain free hours sometime you can do it.

Heh heh. I worked for 40 yrs on my heaps in my driveway,no garage. Then my brother gave me a 12X24 tent. I erected it to re-hab the Rat. Now I put it up off to the side, covered with a green tarp. I used strips of left over carpet pieces for a floor. I call it a yurt. The Rat has been in there since New Years. I only work on it when the weather prevents me from working outdoors.

One of my first jobs was doing maintenance on semi trucks. it never failed that I had to do oil changes or light bulb wiring when the trucks were full of melting snow.

I do my work outside in the drive. I have a 3'x5'x1/4" sheet of corrugated plastic I use to lay on.

I have to agree. I'd rather wait a bit on maintenance for clear weather than let some idiot break more [censored]. I know not everyone is incompetent, but the shops around here hire the cheapest guys they can, even a majority of the dealerships.

Also, wouldn't tighter than a porn star still be.... loose?

There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing
