Who makes that filter? I like the threads on the baseplate better than the motorcraft filters or at least better than the 820-s which has less threads on it.
 
Must have been the filter from the factory. How was the pleat spacing at the seam?

crazyoildude is drooling over those giant base inlet holes ... LoL.
 
The Ford factory filters used to be all white. Now most of them are at least getting the FoMoCo printed on them.
So a few years from now when people are restoring their cars to "factory new" condition, I wonder who will be making these repop filters?
 
Looks great. I believe I saw somewhere a while back that Ford factory filters are built by Champ Labs/FRAM. Honestly I wish Motorcraft retail filters were like these instead of Purolator.

The bypass is on the base end. He just didn't take any photos of it. You can see it in 2015_PSD's link he gave above.
 
Yes it is a factory installed filter, and yes the bypass is on the other end...

I will dry it out and take more pictures, including the seam.
