I really like the Specialized Pro Comp saddle that I have on my Trek Crossrip 2. The Crossrip is road bike with a slightly more upright riding position and 32 mm tire vs 23-25 mm that are more common on road bikes. The key thing is getting the right width saddle for your sit bone dimensions. The shop I went to had a measuring device that was simply a stiff memory foam pad. You sit on it for maybe 10-15 seconds and it leaves an impression of your sit bones. After measuring the width of the sit bones the shop recommended the proper style, and more importantly, size of saddle I needed. It was like magic! Previously I tried 4-5 saddles with no luck. The Pro Comp was great right out of the box. You need to have your sit bone measured and don’t assume just because you are a large male (6’ 3”, 250 lbs for me) that you need a size large saddle. I actually needed a medium.
