Would you consider retiring to a different country?

No, I'll stay in the US but plan to visit a lot of places in retirement. I do hope to move a location that has lower taxes and less people though. Only 2.5 months to go!

My grandparents did retire to Switzerland for 8 years and it was pretty epic visiting them. Ultimately they returned to their 150 acre property($12 depression buy - great grandfather) in NH white mountains near where I grew up and so grateful to have them in my life .

Many countries are know for cheaper living then the U.S but still having a relatively same lifestyle. Would you ever consider moving to another country to live cheaper or better for the same $$?

Which country would you chose?

I would consider it but the wife not so much.
Typically medical care is not as good so retirees return to the US during the first scare. Int'l living also makes visiting family more difficult.

I have family which did this (Central America).
