Worlds oldest driver

I've heard of a few (very few) around here who are around 100 +/- a only a couple of years who still drive. The ones I've heard of only drive short distances to local places like the grocery store. One just drives 3 blocks to go to McDonald's for breakfast almost every day, then back home.

I would like to sit and have coffee with him just to hear his stories. He was born around 1915, which was when WW 1 was raging. Can you imagine what he's seen?
True! A teen during the Great Depression, 24 at the outbreak of WWII, 35 for Korea, 32 for Sputnik, and 50 by the time the U.S. was up to its waist in Vietnam. Fifty-four for the first moon landing, 58 for Watergate, 74 when the Berlin Wall came down, and on and on ... what a span of history to live through.

Age isn't much of a barrier. One of my docs (an eye specialist) was himself well into his 80s. He was a glider pilot instructor and performed check reviews of older pilots.

He had recently done a flight check of a glider pilot who had been a prewar glider pilot trainee in the Luftwaffe. My doc said this man was the best pilot he had ever ridden with. That pilot must have been well at least 90, and was probably older.

Between him and his fiancee... over 200 years of experience in the game of life.

If I make it to 100, I might give in and buy a red convertible. It might be time to live extravagantly I guess.

Another worlds oldest 107 year old,

Seems they die soon after their story gets posted on youtube. On the other hand, when you're 107, the chances of making it another year must be pretty slim.

Gets hard at that age when family (inc kids) , spouse and friends long dead.

My wife occasionally works with them at hospital.
