What technique to remove stuck bleeders?

I use an oxy/acetylene torch and pb blaster for the really tricky bleeders, but sometimes, you just have to bite the bullet and buy a new caliper or wheel cylinder.

I may have got lucky. My 2003 Grand Marquis had rubber caps over the bleeders so they didn't look too bad. However I did use multiple methods before removing them.
1. Tapped area around bleeder with small hammer and lightly on bleeder.
2. Used PB Blaster on it.
3. Used heat around bleeder.
All broke free without much trouble.

One of the most logical way is to use appropriate sized drill bit shank (not the pointy end) inside the bleeder hole and then the six point closed end wrench or six point pass through socket and few choice taps. This after Kroil/PB etc.

The bleeder hole makes it easy to twist off and break the bleeder. By putting the drill bit, you prevent that from happening.

That is the theory. I have NOT tried it personally but engineer in me says that is most sound approach to the problem at hand.

One thing that has always worked for me is clean with a wire wheel, soak with penetrating oil and hit it with a 1/4 cordless impact or any small air impact and they come right out.
