What is your cars recommended wheel nut torque?

I'm just curious to see if most wheels are torqued to about the same pressure. Are steel wheels different than alloy wheels?

The 2011 Camry, for all wheels on all models, specifies 76 ft. lbs. of torque for the bolts. Would aftermarket wheels require a different rating?

What's the rating for your car?

An old (sarcastic) German mechanic once told me the proper torque for anything is just before it snaps off the bolt. He also told me to never force anything, just use a bigger hammer.

80-108ft/lbs so I bought a shiny new torque wrench and do it at 100.

Miss Moneypenny's wheel bolts: 104 ft-lbs/140Nm
Abe's nuts: 150 ft-lbs/203 Nm
The Rabbit's wheel bolts: 89ft-lbs/120Nm

Guten tight.

I think all mine are 90. Or I should say, I know what I have been using. (99% I looked it up once, per vehicle.)

lol, I use the German torque spec most of the time (Goodentight) and the back yard torque spec the rest of the time (1/4 turn before it breaks).

Just my $0.02
