Absolutely incorrect...

Probably what happened was some of your information was entered wrong, and they just didn't match your application to your utility data and credit history.

In the industry, Dish is known for looking for higher credit customers vs. others like Direct, Comcast etc. They believe that a higher credit customer means they are more profitable over the long term (reduced call backs, missing, broken equipment). Higher credit doesn't mean credit score, could be a bunch of things including how you ended service last time. Did you sit on the equipment etc?

Also, the letter says you didn't qualify for their best offers, not that you could not get service.

Interested to hear how the call goes.

According to the DISH lady I talked with initially, I had the best pricing and the best equipment available. She just said to disregard the letter...

I'll let you know as soon as I have time to wait on hold...

At least I have a spoken with people who speak American English

That's a huge plus!

Well. I finally took the time to call and hold. Here is the explanation.

"Please ignore. It was a mistake to send it to you. Just disregard."

Man, I really feel better now.

It's comforting to know they just send out letters telling you your credit is defective when they really don't mean anything....
