I don't mind the idea of using synthetics, and do use them myself at times. I just don't like the idea of spending triple the price on a synthetic over a quality conventional. When Mobil 1 and GC were on rollback, it was worth it. When they cost more than RP, we have a problem.
The current introductory price of PU isn't all that bad, everything considered, but it's really not worth it. The current Canadian Tire sales on Rotella synthetic are walloping Walmart's price on Ultra right now, so, really, why bother with it?
