Tungsten Disulfide (WS2) Powder?

Why have i never heard of this? its at site "lowerfriction dot com" and it sounds fishy.

Input? Says it is an alternative to "Mos2" im not so certain... and ove never even heard of it. I wonder if it is a scam!

Actually it is very good, the problem is it doesn't stay in suspension as well as MoS2. I use it to coat bullets and spoke with a chemist from a company that sells it. He stated it is a better lubricant than MoS2 but never caught on in automotive applications because it doesn't stay suspended as well.

He did say a person could take the TD ultra fine power and make his own brew which would work quite well. He went on to add anything that fell out of suspension would quickly go back into suspensio as soon as the engine was started. HTH I'm just relaying info.

I don't know too much about it, but just wnted to say to be very careful and do your research. The additives in your oil should be fine. I have seen (you can look for yourself) better UOA's with oils with less "moly" than ones that had lots of it. on the same vehicle. Just stick to the basics and use a good oil.

I am a chemical engineer, and the main reason why it's not used in motor oil is because it's so dense. It is almost twice as dense as molybdenum.

Not a good idea, it will have a negative impact on the function of the syncros.
