3117 feet...yeah, I like it.

Christmas is my Birthday, and my second birthday (different state), we played in th snow...middle of summer.
Lithgow (where I live) had snow on Christmans in 1978.
 
Yeah that is a bit of elevation there...

In my country the Northeast mts aka Adarondack mts and Green mts see quite a temperature drop with elevation change... Also happens in the Pacific Northwest has well... A huge difference in weather from Seattle basically sea level to Snoqualmie pass which is 3k feet in elevation. Even in the areas east and west of Seattle see big difference in snow amounts with as little as a couple hundred feet of elevation change..

When cold pockets of air aloft move in those areas it really highlights the temperature change with height. An interesting phenomenon is when this happens in the Pacific Northwest there are numerous cumulus clouds formed over the Pacific ocean. That denotes very cold air aloft over the relatively warm water.
