I've got an MB snowbroom (runway clearing)with big caster wheels and they recommend Texaco Marfak Multi Purpose 2 Grease for the wheel bearings. Is there an equivalent? I Googled it but all I get is a place to purchase. I have several tubes of Mobil 1 and a CENEX multi purpose grease that says also good for wheel bearings. But I'll order the Texaco stuff if it's that good.

I also had an equipment builder specify Texaco Marfak II on their equipment; I found it rarer than hen's teeth from our vendors and frankly nothing special based on the spec sheet (no EP additives for starters).

After inquiring with the builder they said an EP grease may be substituted without issue and I've since used Mobilux EP 2 grease for the past 3 years without problem. It's a fairly standard NLGI #2 EP lithium grease.

I would use the CENEX grease or any other that's good for wheel bearings in this application, but try to go with a #0 or #1 grease if possible.

Thanks. I figured it couldn't be anything special but thought I'd ask.
