FYI...

Folks,

I was perusing the Lawn and Small Engine category and I saw an old post regarding an hour meter.

I bought a tachometer/hour meter from jacks small engines .com (all one word) and it works perfectly on my Scag mower. It works off of inductive pickup from the spark plug wire so there's no hard wiring. When the engine's running it's a tach, when it's not running it shows total hours run. I attached it to the cross bar of the mower handlebars using hose clamps so it's easy to read while in use.

If you guys are looking for one for your equipment, I highly recommend it.

BTW, another FYI...

If you're looking to put a fuel filter on your mower or other small engine, I found the Deutsch FF314 to be a nice one that works well. It's a small, plastic canister type filter with push on type hose ends.
I added it to the fuel line of my JD JX75 mower (6 hp Kawasaki OHV) and replaced the disc type filter on my Scag (14 hp Kawasaki OHV) with one too.

I got them at AutoZone.

I have one too. It works great

It says your RPM's when the motors on and your total hours run time when It's off. Great for knowing exactly when to change your oil and air filters.
