Are you serious? You actually think Steve and the others who knew Gary well, might be lying about this? That's outright heartless.

Drew I understand your disappointment re G's question but maybe just think of his inquiry as a too quick reaction of disbelief to this shocking news.

Drew I'm sure G-MAN meant no disrespect. This news has come as quite a shock to those of use knew Gary and considered him a friend.

His daughter posted on his face book page.

You probably know the Allans better than I do but would a collection of cards in the mail "from the internet" be inappropriate?

I for one don't think it would be inappropriate.

I am sure card with personal messages as to how Gary touched their life from the members would be appreciated. When I lost Tony the personal messages meant a lot to me.

If you want to send a card please PM TurboJim for the address.

I can't believe I'm reading this. I'm lost for what to say.

May his soul and the souls of all the departed faithful by God's mercy rest in peace, and may God give enough strength to his family to bear their great loss.

I did not mean any disrespect at all. I don't know the OP or how well he knew Gary. I've been on the Internet since 1995 and I've seen some pretty outrageous "pranks" posted on forums over the years. I would rather offend everyone on BITOG and find out this was just such a prank than to find out it is true--which, sadly, it appears to be. Gary was a truly stand-up guy and I enjoyed his posts and dealing with him as an Amsoil dealer. He will be missed.

How very sad. I feel for his family and my prayers go out to them in this terrible time.

Though I never met or spoke with Gary, I will miss his posts on here. We can all rest easy knowing that he is in a much better and happier place! Rest in Peace Gary!

I always enjoyed reading topics that Gary would comment on. His use of language and the class he spoke with was always appreciated. Thank you Gary for all the wisdom and knowledge you've shared. You will be missed.

Just like you Pablo, I thought this was a bad joke. I was totaaly shocked that he isn't with us anymore. My prayers go out to his family.

Gentlemen, let us never forget today may be our last day on this earth and let us live our lives accordingly. May God bless the Allan family. Thank you Helen also, for all you do.

No offence taken here...although you should know me well enough by now that I wouldn't take such lightly.

Honestly, I spent the whole day yesterday hoping that someone would pop up and say "Gotcha".
