RIP Bob Barker

Bob will always be the face of The Price is Right to me. He is the epitome of a classy game show host. OTOH, Drew Carey is a disgrace, I'd rather have a Chat GPT AI Avatar than that guy.

Honestly, what really stinks is when history is omitted and/or altered.
The history of a game show surely isn't important but omitting 16 years of a production's life is infuriatingly inaccurate.
Lots of "e-entries" claim 1972 as the start of TPIR starring Bob Barker.

The show began in 1956 with Bill Cullen as host.
Bill Cullen was to game shows what God is to Earth's cultural development.

A life well lived.

He started as a Naval Aviator. Flew in training. Got trained in the F-4U Corsair. Didn’t get a chance to fly in combat.

As he once said, “I was a Naval Aviator, a Fighter Pilot. I completed all facets of my training, including my qualifying landings on a carrier. I was all ready to go, and when the enemy heard that I was headed for the Pacific, they surrendered. That was the end of World War II.”

RIP Sir!

Rumor had it that if you were in the audience on “The Price is Right” wearing a uniform with Naval Aviator wings - Bob would always pick you to “Come on down!”
