Red calipers only for sports cars

To add on, why are calipers mounted differently on various car hubs? Is there a performance improvement in day to day?

I have red calipers on one of my small pickups. They are remans by Powerstop. I didn't go looking for red calipers but they were the only painted ones that I could find. They turned out looking pretty decent with silver wheels.

I was just looking for something that wouldn't rust immediately.

I've always wondered this too. I think they just mount them where the tie rods/control arms aren't.
