I'm sure it would..... This is one of those situations were neatness counts.Does brake fluid damage the paint once you paint them.

LOL That is awesome! I am totally going to do that! Painted-on rotors, too. Easiest disc-brake conversion ever.or worse, painting "calipers" on the drums
No - I’m done and moved on to bad paint aerodynamics …Not too much, I hope ...
Hey now!For sure! Those are worse than painting the drums red.
We have a Dark Horse Mustang on the showroom with blue calipers and they look awesome. The car is the Ember Blue Metallic color that is Dark Horse exclusive.I like a blue color. I think VW had a blue caliper it looked nice.
If the truck has more than 600HP then it can rock them.I think red calipers look nice but maybe only in sports cars? What about a pickup?
I had a scion ia with rear drums they started to rust a tad only high heat enamel spray I had at the time was ford engine block blue I must say the drums looked good I was tempted to do the front calipersHey now!
Prior owner's mod....odd as the rest of the car was very original. I'll get around to it over the Winter when I mount the new tires and have wheels refinished.

If you want to change the bleeder screws to Speed Bleeders while the caliper is filled with brake fluid you will almost certainly spill brake fluid on the caliper.I'm sure it would..... This is one of those situations were neatness counts.
That's atrocious enough to be awesome? LolHey now!

This is my exact feeling! "Oh Man, wow, why???.......(steps back, thinks)..OK I'm keeping it for a bit."That's atrocious enough to be awesome? Lol
That's awesome! Never know when that bar of soap could come in handy! (Seriously, that's a good use of 'borrowed' motel soaps that we all don't need but always take lol) All my Mom left in her glove box when they sold me her car was all 15ish year's worth of expired registrations. (Why? Seriously, why? Haha) Oh, the lug key and some empty CD jewel cases. Only 1 of those things has any practical use. I'll let the reader suss out which one it is. HahaThis is my exact feeling! "Oh Man, wow, why???.......(steps back, thinks)..OK I'm keeping it for a bit."
Did I mention it is a chartreuse-yellow car??? Ouch!
Used, niche cars have a history of their own and I am careful about erasing any part of that. Of note, this car was owned for years by a guy who sold it to me in his mid 70's. When I went through the car I found a Body Glove (remember the brand?) neoprene CD case full of 80's dance music and, discretely tucked in the glove box, a zip lock w/; 2 single use floss picks, a wrapped bar of soap from a marina bar, two Advil, one Viagra, and a condom. He left me his fun pak! I put it back in the car, it is part of it.

If you're worried about those elements, remember that the color you paint it impacts the heat transfer as well...That's true, but there's a downside as well. The paint adds unsprung weight which can often affect the ride quality and handling, and the paint, if not properly applied, can upset airflow around the wheels and hurt mileage or range.
How old was the condom? I assume past it's expiration date. This is my exact feeling! "Oh Man, wow, why???.......(steps back, thinks)..OK I'm keeping it for a bit."

Like a spoiler on a Vega? Why bother, at the end of the day it's a Vega!H

Seriously, though, I see lots of vehicle mods that make me wonder why...why the hell did they think that's a good idea? And then I remind myself that half the population is below average intelligence...
There's a small spoiler on my Camry. It's totally useless. I like the way it looks and it adds stability during high-speed parallel parking maneuvers. Still, at the end of the day, its just a Camry ... but it's my Camry and I like it.Like a spoiler on a Vega? Why bother, at the end of the day it's a Vega!
The spoilers were made for Indy cars going what 150 MPH (??) to push the read end down? There's a small spoiler on my Camry. It's totally useless.
