This is why we change our filters regularly

Used 2018 Silverado 2500HD with 102k. The yarn ball was on top of the filter as it sat inside the filter area/housing.

Mouse or small squirrel. That nest in my pics is just that. Something went in and built a nest on top of the cabin filter. And then chewed down.
