I'm to the point where if if there's an E15 pump I'll use that. Gets the same gas mileage, 5 cents cheaper per gallon.

I can say that in my almost 9 years of driving ("you're just a baby!") I've never seen a pure gas pump. We run the e10 stuff in all our lawn powers and stuff even. Splash a stabil, splash of MMO, life is good! I won't put e15 in those though.

Still straining and getting nowhere.

That is a blender credit. Ethanol producers are not blenders. Retailers and terminal operators are blenders. The main focus of any grants / subsidies is ethanol blender pumps which are used at gas stations. Blenders can get the ethanol from whatever source they choose. Ethanol producers do not operate gas stations. Corn ethanol is not mandated in the RFS. Ethanol, irregardless of the source, is. And corn based ethanol is limited by regulatory statute on how much can be produces.

And if we are going to complain about tax credit and subsidies, the oil industry gets upwards of $24 Billion of credits and actual taxpayer subsidy transfer payments. Far and away dwarfing what any suppose ethanol producer subsidy (which hasSome of which have been in place and still in place since 1913. So, if you are going to actually be honest in your outrage, then you should stop using petroleum products in total. Else you are a hypocrite.

There are various tax credits scattered around. A tax credit is not a subsidy (no money is going from tax payer to the entity using the credit, as a credit is simply a reduction in taxes they have to pay) unless one is a Socialist and thinks that all products, property, and money belongs to the collective, and allowing anyone to actually keep more of what they make is stealing from the collective. Well, Comrade Jethro, I am not a Socialist. And if we need to get rid of credits for this reason, then we need to also get rid of mortgage interest tax dedications, child care tax credits, and the dozens of other such things credits and deductions in the tax code.
