yes i agree looks good but wouldn't oil flowing through a thicker media(filtering oil better) make you sleep better at night vs a thin one?

Sure does.
That's why I never use $2-$4 filters myself.
But if someone is determined to buy a budget filter, I definitely want to steer them to the WIX built "B-team" filters or Purolator classic white over the ecores or orange cans.
That's all I meant.

Sure does.
