Passenger on my aircraft flight was snoring for an hour

I guess I'd mind my own business, which doesn't happen much anymore. I wouldn't hear him through my headphones anyway. Wouldn't bother me a bit.
Get any decent over the ear headphone with Active Noise Canceling and you can't hear anything other than what you want. The new Apple Airpod Pro earbuds work great for this too.

My brother in law sounds like this.
He has COPD and needs to get some exercise, or die.
It isn't contagious.
It's true that he may not have something 'contagious' but in these times of deadly viruses it's not right to make others nervous. He can get plenty of 'solitary' exercise just by walking.

No he wasn't wearing a mask. I'm not suggesting he should wear a mask....I'm suggesting he should go to a doctor and stay at home until he stops coughing in an indoor confined public space. I assume you know that C19 is still around.
I like how it isn't OK to cough since 2020. If you are sick you should stay home, but it isn't always possible. It also isn't fun when you have seasonal allergies that get pretty bad. I am not staying home all summer because people get nervous around someone with a runny nose and cough.

He does in the summer.
But not only are the slippery roads and trails a hazard for him in winter, breathing in all that -25 air also damages his lungs. A little bit of compassion goes a long way.
Yesterday I picked him up, and we went to the gym together. Nobody looked at him strangely because he has a cough. If that concerned, then I suggest avoiding public places, like a gym, malls, grocery stores, concerts, theaters. Not everything is contagious, be it good or bad. I wish kindness and caring, were more contagious though.
My brother in law is one of the most caring people around.

Yes, I always fly first class since it’s for business.

5 flights this week for work and I always get the early bird flight.

I will buy noise cancelling headphones for my next business trip.
It’s freaky at first, how quiet your world becomes when you first put those noise canceling earbuds in your ear.

If anyone and I mean, anyone hears any type of noise when wearing Bose quiet comfort earbuds or AirPods Pro earbuds. They are doing something wrong, they don’t fit right or they don’t have the noise cancellation turned on.

If you fly enough, the airline will eventually send you a set of noise cancelling headphones. These showed up today, not a bad Christmas present!

I also fly American for business.

Very nice of them to send you that.

I fly American lot also. This is what I received from American Airlines for Christmas today. Fun sized Snickers. Suspect American values your business significantly more than mine.

I fly a lot. Snoring is far from the worst I’ve experienced.
  • Clipping fingernails and toenails (more than once… what is wrong with people?)
  • Shuffling a card deck for an entire transatlantic flight
  • Drunkenly playing music on a Bluetooth speaker and acting like plane DJ
  • Attempting to climb over me for bathroom runs
  • Self-pleasure
  • Threatening staff and getting arrested/escorted out by police (2x)
  • And the worst: An older child who screamed literally nonstop for an entire transatlantic flight. Another passenger was a doctor and checked on the child and said he was fine, physically. Try listening to 8 hours of nonstop human screaming when you’re dead tired from already being awake 14+ hours; it was mind-blowingly awful.
Not to mention the ever present budging during de-boarding, opening windows during sleeping flights, and coughing/sneezing directly onto others. That’s every flight though.

Self-pleasuring? Really? On a plane? That's disgusting. What is wrong with people today? I'm glad I very rarely fly.

Passenger on my flight was snoring very loudly for an hour and luckily they were a few rows behind me. It was an early bird flight that took off at 5:45 AM so maybe they didn’t drink any coffee before this A321neo flight to Texas. The flight attendant didn’t want to disturb snoring passenger.

What would you do if the person next to you was snoring very loudly and you didn’t know them ?
Do you gently bump them a few times with your elbow ?
Do you ignore them ?

The passenger woke up when the pilot activated the thrust reversers after a very smooth landing.

Sorry. 🤣

Stuff his ears with chunks of apples and ants.

Doesn't matter if snoring can't be controlled. It's not All About Him but rather, getting along with other people in a confined space. For example I wouldn't eat 5 extra firey hot bean burritos before a flight. :)

Yes, I find that 3 is still being respectful … 😷

Snoring? Pfff!

Back in the old days I was in Europe and had to return home unexpectedly for work. Paying my own way meant I was sitting in economy and had limited seating choices because of my schedule change. I sat in the row immediately in front of the smoking section during a 12 hour flight. My lungs felt trashed for weeks afterward.

A snoring passenger next to me would have been a luxury (I'm not throwing stones here).
