For around the last week I get this response when trying to post an image. Im wondering who else is affected.
"Parsing Response Failed" after the image shows 100% upload. If I remember correctly sometimes I dont get to 100% However the 100% thing now happens all the time if I remember correctly but if not all the time, 50/50 depending on the day.

This is with my Mac Desktop always running the latest updates.
and also using my iPhone 15 I get the same response trying to upload an image.

What is the file type? I'm fairly new to the MacBook Pro and I found I needed to take a screenshot and save as a jpeg before I could attach a file.

I see that error quite a bit on my iPhone. Usually have to close out and reopen and works fine after.
Yes, that has worked for me restarting my Mac desktop, but not all the time.

So the HEIC format does work but I guess not reliably yet I can go for months or longer and it always did and then read recently didn’t always work reliably

Apple's HEIC format won't work, the uploaded file needs to be .jpg .png or .gif
OK, thanks for replying. Just for the record out of the, (guessing)couple thousand posts that I have posted. This is the first time I’m getting error messages, nothing has changed using the iPhone and Mac mini
Here is an example. This afternoon this photo taken with my iPhone uploaded perfectly. I did not convert anything take any screenshots of anything.

I see other replies as well, simply shutting off the device and turning it back on solved the issue.

I’m not doubting what you say just telling you it does work most of the time straight from Apple devices but if it’s not supposed to, I guess there’s nothing to fix?

I hate apple proprietary technology! Stike a blow for BITOG!
Fun fact: HEIC is neither an Apple nor a proprietary technology.

Apple was just the first major adopter of the standard because it is superior to JPEG in every way. 281 trillion colors vs 16.7 million; supports transparency; supports HDR; supports Live Photos with sound; and better compression resulting in smaller file sizes while maintaining superior picture quality.

I’ve also had zero issues uploading HEIC to BITOG.

Well, I'm never one to let facts get in the way of a good rant! lol

Actually, I think I can save pics in HEIC on my Pixel also, but, it causes interoperability problems with text messages for me.

Same. Not consistently. This is with .jpg on an Android. I don't believe it's a file type issue.

Edit. When i get the parsing error...it's when I'm using the insert button. If I go to the attach file button...it will work.

Yesterday a couple pictures spun and spun never loaded. Today seems ok

Update. I have not changed anything but the photo issue has gone away.
With that said, when signing out of BITOG on Safari the page just hangs once you click "Log Out" but when you refresh the site is shows you logged out.
Today when I logged out it froze the browser and I force closed it. Again, I was successfully logged out when I went back and checked.
But for many weeks now, when logging out. You click "Log Out" and the page doesnt change. It just hangs until you refresh or completely freezes up. Never once does it show logged out anymore.

I haven't gotten the parsing message in a while but I still occasionally am not able to insert photos (nothing happens when I choose the photo to insert) with the insert button and have to use the attach files button.

This is everyday on Safari on a Mac desktop (always latest version after version) , everyday of the year when logging out of BITOG if you wait long enough. Otherwise after logging out I just close the page/browser knowing I am logged out but if I dont and wait 4 minutes or so ... you dont get a logged out page you get this.
FYI doesnt matter to me but // well you know.

Do you have a browser extension that kills cookies? We need to set a cookie for each session, so make sure your browser isn't doing something to "protect" you from the BITOG cookie.

This is only when you click on the “logout” tab.

I don’t run any non-apple software to protect me and I use the native operating system on my iPhone, MacBook Air, and Mac desktop.
I’m sure this must happen to anyone using updated modern Apple devices. It happens across all three of my devices.

However, maybe not many people bother to log out after each session like I do. I’m just letting you know as an FYI, it doesn’t hinder using the site in anyway, except when you hit the logout button.

Hitting the logout button above results in this page coming up below. It used to say you were logged out. Now it says we ran into some problems. However, the result is you still get logged out. It’s just that the page doesn’t acknowledge that and comes up with this message.
