Wondering if some of you guys could chime in here and give me a second opinion on a oil filter for the Suki in profile. We bought the car new, and keep it very well maintained. Book calls for 5-7,500 OCI IIRC, using 5w30. It has 23k, and we plan on keeping it til about 70-100k at least. It's driven in city/hwy mix here in Tampa. These are my options for filters & price:
-Napa gold/wix $6.69. I know it's the best filter.
-Pro select napa $2.69. Never used one, not sure.
-PureOne $5.88. Good filter, but has it's cheapy-ness issues.
-Purolator $3.44. Avg filter. has good/bad issues.
-Advance Auto house filter $2.88. Made by purolator.
I like to go as far as possible on OCI's; 7,500 even though it does a good amount of city driving. (oil stays looking good). I buy whatever 5w30 Dino is on sale, Valvoline, penz, shell Napa etc. I really want to use the napa gold, but how do the others campare bang/buck. I hate how Purolators use a Leaf spring and are thin; I had one leak on a corrolla, I couldn't beleive it. So what's next in line after napa gold? I almost feel that the napa gold is overkill/expensive for this little car.
