If you know that it's either 5w30 or 10w30 then really either will do. With today's oils there is hardly a difference anymore. 10w30 is more shear stable (less prone to thinning over time) than 5w30 and 5w30 works better for cold starts. This difference was more pronounced with older oils, much less so today. You are in Texas according to your sig so cold weather won't be an issue. Use 10w30.
