Non Kia-Hyundai oil filters--still a problem???

Oh. Oil starved engine startup rattle, because of something like
a not so good ADB valve? That makes sense. But once the engine starts up and the oil starts flowing, you cant hear any difference, right?
Yes, correct, it was just to reduce startup noise. Couldn't hear the difference when running.

Just this winter I used a Fram Ultra on my 2.4 Hyundai SantaFe. It would rattle on startup especially if on a hill. I switched back to Hyundai filters and problem was solved.

To be honest I hear that rattle too but only on the first engine rev. Usually only if it has sat over a day. I've used ST9688 and now OEM, and there is no difference. In fact, after i pulled the Supertech filter ALOT of oil came out (granted that was after a drive). Not sure what to make of it except the engine is loud in general when cold (2.4 theta II).

2018 Accent ( 1.6 Ltr. , G.D.I. ) : Use the FRAM Ultra XG9688 for most of O.C.s at about 26,000 miles . O.C. average is 5,000 miles since purchased new .
