Urban legend. Please post a link to where Honda says that.

You could look at a UOA for a Honda factory fill. Lots of molybdenum. Regular Honda motor oil? About 0. This comes from assembly lubes that wash into the engine oil, but Honda thinks it's important. Or take a look at mightymousetech's posts: he's an Acura tech that gets regular reminders from Honda about the importance of leaving in the factory fill.

So it's there. Whether you choose to believe it's important is a different matter.

So those manufacturers don't know what they are doing? But you saw through it and know better?

Where do manufacturers say not to change out the ff?

Here's an actual quote from a manufacturer:

"We now encourage all owners to change their oil at 500 miles to remove possible contaminants created during the engine break-in process." - Monte Doran

Nice cherry pick of a quote that was meant only for Chevy Z06 Corvette owners who were tracking their cars out the gate after purchase and grenading their engines.

Let me also guess, you think the term "friction" in friction modifier increases friction?

It is OK to be wrong man, [censored] I am from time to time but you are digging a grave here with some of your statements.

Keep shovling.

Exactly.

It won't be long.
