Hello. I now have sent in an oilsample of the RP10/30 and the 3oz maintenance dose. So far I have gone 16160 miles(26000 km). Undummy, Using a patented process hydrated Boron molecules are milled to under 1 micron (100X smaller than bacteria) and suspended in oil, until forming a Boric Oxide coating on any metal surface. This technology has given birth to a new generation of super lubricants and is a major breakthrough in lubrication protection since the Boric Oxide forms platelets which are self-replenishing and very durable at 85% the hardness of a diamond.
Now the coated metal surfaces can slide over these platelets that have a surface friction coefficient of under 0.01%. This results in an 80% reduction in surface friction. Motor Silk™ has been thoroughly tested for safety and effectiveness in numerous independent laboratory tests. Motor Silk™ was also road tested in over seven thousand vehicles during an eighteen month period. The test included new vehicles as well as older high mileage vehicles. The monitored results showed a reduction of component failure (engine and transmission) so impressive (85%) that an entire extended power train warranty program was developed with the Motor Silk™ superior lubrication protection.
I am going to put it in my engine tomorrow, to see if it works as advertised. I am also going to do another oil-analyse after some 16000 miles, to see what it does. My car only cost some 45000usd in 2003, so I am willing to take that risk. I haven't seen anyone here doing some testing, that's why I do it. Who knows, it may turn out to be worth it? Time will show.
