Is the Premium Guard the same as the Micro Guard?
The Premium guard is a little bit shorter... at least the model for my car.

Seems to largely be so, although it has an excellent glossy paint job on it instead of the textured finish on the Microgard. Still has the red silicone gasket etc. not sure if size is exactly the same but it seemed typical of a 3614 equivalent filter.
It seems like the Carquest Premium's have different vendors from what I've seen depending on sku.
I don't have an O'Reilly's in Delaware, so I have no way to try a Micro Gard that's why I was curious about the other vendors.
If you get a Carquest and it says “leak tested” on the dome it’s a Premium Guard.
I would not be surprised if AAP formerly used a different source there has been so much shuffling around with filters the last two to three years it has been hard to follow.

Premium Guard I can get, on Amazon or Federated Auto parts..
