'Bout time to offer up my : Granny Clampett's "Eel Snot" weapons lube recipe :

*50% Mobil One V-Twin 20W 50 synthetic oil
*40% Dexron VI ATF
*10% STP Oil Treatment (small blue bottle)

Stir together and use sparingly as a lube for slides , sears , hammers , lock up blocks , barrels , etc.
Great as a weapons lube (finer than frog hair !) ... But not the greatest for long term external metal / rust protection .

Don't like the Engine oil..it absorbs water. Better to mix gear oil and ATF to get the correct thickness. STP really irrelevent as ATF and Gear oil are both better than STP IMHO

Remember to stir in the STP counter clockwise.

i rec'd a sample of the green "extreme duty" oil. It seems to work fine
