When I did my 6.0 swap on my Tahoe, I put a new starter in the truck since the starter in it was the original one with 300k.
I put a New (not reman) Remy starter in it from RockAuto. It had the little heart icon and I thought I remember Delco-Remy as a brand (maybe that is no longer a thing now.)
Lately, I've had two occasions where I've went to crank the truck and nothing happens for a second or two before finally starting to crank.
So I think I want a different starter.
What brands would you go with? I am wondering if ACDelco gold is any better... I'm figuring GM Genuine would be OK.
Wish the local guy who used to rebuild motors was still around -- maybe I find another?
