How Many Miles Have You Driven?

I estimate my mileage; 60 years driving x 8K/year. Conservatively maybe 450-500K miles. Accidents; 1, not my fault. I know my distance is likely not much. Some of you fellows might be OTR drivers.

23 years of driving I know I've done a minimum of 300,000 miles. I've driven more than that but the early years I was not keeping track of my mileage and some work travel mileage in my early 20's.

I’m only 45 miles from the Gulf - and there is a Minnesota based construction crew working here - it’s been a nice week for them - and don’t expect next weeks cold front to bother them much …

I have driven approximately 10k miles in a Buick Skylark, 72k in an old Camaro, 5k in a Saab 9-3, and 16k in my Acura. 105k total car miles.

My first Kawasaki accumulated roughly 28k miles and about 13k on my current bike. 41k total motorbike miles.

In summary, I have completed at least 146,000 non-commercial miles since 2008 (excluding family members’ vehicles).

Got my license in 1991 at 15. I drove Mom's car probably for a few thousand miles and I put 40k on my first car in 3 years.
I got my second car in '94 and I put 80k miles on it.
Third car 130 k miles
Fourth 240k miles
Fifth car 20k miles
Sixth car 200 k miles
Current car 60k miles in 2.5 years

I have to add my 1980 Rabbit that I have had since age 15 and that I have driven on and off since 1991 until a year ago when I sold it. I put about 150k miles on that vehicle.

That's over 890,000 miles with my own private vehicles in 33 years.

I have also put tens of thousands of miles on company cars and thousands of miles on rental cars. I also drove my wife's cars and some rentals and some friend's cars. I once drove my brother's Jeep for a few weeks. I did not keep records.
