Harbor Freight "Brass" brushes

Anybody else get a magnet to stick to their brass brushes? While using one the brass color quickly wore off and it is nothing more than a steel wire brush.

Likely a supplier that's scamming them for extra money. Shame on them for not checking.

Couldn't get a magnet to stick to any of my wire brushes. Some must be from HF.

I have some from amazon that are not magnetic - I just checked. However I am pretty sure there just aluminum. They don't feel like real brass to me. Can't really expect it at the price they sell, but I agree its completely false advertising.

Same deal with copper scouring pads. Most are just steel wool with a copper wash.

A lot of the "brass" brushes and wheels are brass coated steel, you have to be careful buying these if you want real brass. This is a USA manufacturer.

Nothing like the quality of Harbor Freight merchandise . Some in O.K. some is garbage.

Same as Amazon, lots of good stuff but a lot of crap thrown in. I try to buy products like this, abrasives, cutoff/grinding/wire wheels, bolts and nuts, etc from USA manufacturing sources.
