The ball joint still needs to be pressed out of the knuckle, so you will need a ball joint press tool.

I just looked up an IS350 ball joint - wow. This is a very different ball joint than what most cars have today. In this case, yes, a pickle fork should work to remove it.
Most ball joints are pressed into the knuckle itself.
