I have a '00 Monte Carlo with the 3800 V6. After the car has been sitting for a while, the gas pedal sticks just a little the first time I press it, kinda' like the throttle plate is breaking through a crusty film, then it's fine. I'd like to clean this out, but when I removed the rubber intake hose from the throttle body, I ran into a metal screen that doesn't look like it will come off easily. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm hoping someone here has done this before.

Thanks in advance, Matt

That's the MAF screen. It can be removed, but it's easy to damage. Do not spary into the TB without removing the MAF sensor. Carb cleaner will damage it.

2nd that.Buy the tb gaskets and remove it to clean it properly, buy the throttle body cleaner, spray and let soak.
