BlackStone Comments: All wear continued to look good in the latest sample from your Ranger. Steady wear trends like these portray an engine in good health that is operated and maintained well. Universal averages are based on an oil run of 4,800 miles. You could have easily gone that long on this oil. The oil was in good shape physically, containing no moisture, fuel, or coolant. Insolubles were low at 0.2%, showing good oil filtration. Silicon improved to 7 ppm so your air filtration/induction system is working
well, too. At 54,210 miles this 4.0L is wearing very well!
I've been running GC for about 4 OCI's now and the numbers have steadily improved and now, I believe, flat lined and are remaining steady. Although there isn't much to talk about on BITOG about this UOA, I'm liking the boring. Excitement is usually not good.
