I'm a bit behind, but last I checked, these are known to have large quantities of PEA in the neighborhood of 20%+:

Red Line SI-1
Amsoil Performance Improver (PI)
Chevron Techron Concentrate
Gumout Regane Fuel System Cleaner

According to the SDS, two Techron Concentrate(s) sold in Canada have 30+% PEA; product codes 266701 & 266702. But (again according to the SDS) Techron Concentrate product code 266368 doesn't have any.

Seems kind of odd that products with the same (or very similar) names would have such different ingredients. Maybe it's the kinder gentler version. Maybe some Canadian jurisdictions don't permit PEA. Or maybe PEA is hidden in the general sounding ingredients. Or maybe I'm just not reading the SDS correctly!

Dirty girl squirrel???

An easily accessible one is CRC Guaranteed to Pass fuel system cleaner. Available at WM. I found it seems to do best out of all I have tried. The Gumout is another as is the Techron. I dont know why but I get the impression the techron and gumout has less PEA than the CRC product. I run a bottle once a year a couple tanks prior to winter oil change.

CRC Guaranteed to Pass shows 25-35% PEA by weight.

Amazon has it for 6.38$ per 12 ounce bottle.

Gumout reflects 10-30% PEA content:

I cant seem to find the Chevron MSDS that reflects PEA content. I have to say, I do respect companies who do mention the quantity of PEA.

Redline shows 25-35% (on a 2008 MSDS it showed 30-50%)

No PEA in Berryman B12, STP, Lucas

BG44K, & Chevron Techron: I cant find any MSDS showing PEA content

Amsoil PI, shows 25-50%

Depends on the size of your gas tank. But, 44K is premiere.

Good luck!

Pajero!

Thank you, Pajero.

Now that I know what to look for (after doing some quick research) I've narrow down my list to what I can get easily and locally.

Berryman B12
Techron Concentrate
Red Line SI-1

Berryman has Toluene as the main component. How does that compare to PEA? Is it a good cleaner?

Would Berryman be too strong if I were to let it sit in the tank for a week? I would burn around half the tank on the trip so the other half would sit about a week.

I would be filling up with Shell, BP or Exxon at the same time.

PEA is a proven ingredient. There are SAE papers on it, so yes, it's effective.

If you can get Red Line SI-1 locally (I've seen it at Pep Boys and the like), go for it. It also contains a UCL which some people seem to like. Techron Concentrate is also fairly easy to find and is sometimes BOGO. Just dump either one in a full tank of gas and drive the car normally.
