So what does that tell you about the quality of the work they do?
If they can't even do a basic task of putting a tire on correctly (which as said, it takes the same amount of time to put it on correctly as it does incorrectly), why would you trust them to do anything to your vehicle.

I know many auto technicians (yes, I purposefully did not say "mechanics") that drive vehicles that may look like poo, but they are reliable and roadworthy.
Heck if you look at my truck, it looks bad (hood paint peeling, no shine to the paint, dents all over, bed fender is painted a flat black), but the interior is nice and clean and the truck runs great.
