De Tomaso Pantera spotted at Home Depot today.
Beautiful car fully restored with updated big brakes and wheels. (y)
It looks like a 1973-74 model.

My mailman had one. I saw it at the post office often. Once I asked him who owned it and he told me it was his. So naturally I had a million questions. He said he'd bring it around some day. Well he did and took me for a ride. It was crampted inside and rode rough but went like a banshee on speed. Had the 351 Cleveland engine.

Great guy.

Kind of the best of both worlds really. Italian styling with the less complexity of a Ford powerplant. It has always fascinated me for this reason. It's like the more affordable early variation on a Ford GT since an early GT40 is unobtainium.
Totally agree & this car may not have been on the road today if it had been some flavor of Italian engine.

There's a club or something around here. Sometimes you see them on 280 North of Palo Alto. Maybe about 8 or 10 cars. Looooow...
And you will always see one or two at local community shows. Beautiful cars.

Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I mean it, sincerely. I love classic rare cars.

But, I too share the angst of the Patriot owner in the OP for having such a vehicle parked next to my pride and joy:
