The Frams for my 09 Mazdaspeed 3 cartridge oil filter look great. In fact, better than the Purolator Pure One's, which frankly shocked the heck out of me!

Although uneven pleats looks sloppy, how does it affect filtering? You pleat the media, cut it off, seal the end, and slip it over the core. The pleats are going to fall where they may. Does it make any difference?

I have no issues with the ST filters.

Seeing these pictures make me realize something... I really need an oil filter cutter.

Thanks for the shots. It looks pretty good. Is there any way to find out the pressure relief valve specs on Champ filters? It seems like they love hiding this info......

Yea, I really enjoy the filter cutter. It takes about 45 seconds to open a filter and there is no mess.

Not sure on the relief valve specs for the ST filter. I use them on a 2008 Sentra. My 1997 legacy takes the 3593. Lately, I have been using the Purolator made PowerFlo's since they have the 23psi relief valve.
