I install BC Racing Coilover on my 2004 Nissan maxima n I hate when my car slam into bumper while drving on hwy. Aligment tech tld me to cut or remove "bumper stop" on shock/strut so suspension can travel easy n I ask my peformance tech he said no cause is required on shock/sturt that what is said on manual book cam with my kit.
I adjust soft/hard will what's soft n hard mean on coilover kit?

Any clue?

Anybody running coilover kit?

Maybe you should have learned about Soft/Hard adjustments before you purchased a RACING coilover kit?

Anywho, soft means you will move the suspension closer to stock. The suspension will move to absorb road imperfections. More comfortable.

Hard means you make it more like a racing suspension.Very little sway or movement. You can take corners faster. Less comfortable.

If you hate it now,put it on the softest setting(there should be some adjustment knob on the shocks) and hope for the best.

You will never have a ride as comfortable as stock with that coilover kit.

I had Bilstein coilovers on my Mustang, it rode rough but handled amazing.

Honestly with coilovers, if you cant deal with the extra noise and roughness, then you shouldn't have bought them.

Think about what the words "soft" and "hard" mean and go from there...

I never thought I'd be the grammar police anywhere, but spend 30 seconds more and write coherently the next time.

I don't think this is a bumper stop problem.
That would mean the springs compressed completely .
And having this happen on the highway is very hard for me to imagine.

You have non stock parts.
Who knows what the spring rates are, how they are installed, and if they are even the right parts for the car?

I measure my front springs w Jack stand n is was 6.7" close it to 7" will should
I make it to 8" n should I rasier up the springs then lower the body of shock after that will I be okay?

Please help.
