So I got most of my over tightened lug nuts off my wheel except one that was badly stripped...It was chrome plated until I took a chisel and hammered around the stripped chrome taking it off thinking it would be easier to get off but still won't. Any last resorts for this sob?

Put about a foot long metal pipe on the end of a break down bar. That will greatly increase your leverage. If that doesn't work, torch it a little and then use the break down bar. If that doesn't work, sell the car.

As a final resort you could grind off the back of the wheel stud (f you can get to it that is) and pull it through and have a new one pressed in.

Did a shop over tighten them?

Is it an OEM one or one of those cheap chinese aluminum allow lugnuts that takes a security socket? I've seen those things get crossthreaded and become next to impossible to get off.

Know anybody with a welder? Get a cheap socket that fits over it and have it welded on and then use a long pipe or jack handle over the breaker bar to break it loose.

Hammer the next size down on it, use a deep impact socket. Your going to need a BF hammer.
That should get it if not there are a few other things to try.

What size is it?

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize you meant it's rounded off!

That makes my earlier suggestion pretty much useless although you could still ground the back of the stud off if you can get to it.

I agree, hammer a smaller size on.

I fixed my wife's brothers car had a broken locking lug nut , I ended up wire feed welding a cheep socket to it buzzed right of with my impact took less than half an hour, best way

The size of the lug nut is 19mm. I'll try hammering a 18mm in there and use a pipe to break it off. Anyone know if a reverse threaded socket should do the trick?

Just remember to unhook battery before welding ,you don't want to fry any electronics

Maybe you could hammer on the same size socket with a layer of aluminum foil/aluminum can to fill the gaps (or maybe some paper?)

Then use the biggest breaker bar and cheater bar combo you have.

It might but chrome lugs usually have a round head on them which may prevent the socket from going on all the way. They do make a deep 18.5mm damaged lug tool.
I don't think you will have much trouble getting an 18mm on it far enough. Try that first.
