BMW ATF question.

I have a 09 of 2000 530 auto.

Which by this chart means I have the GM Transmisson. Does this mean that I could use Dexron VI? Or only the BMW fulid?

Whats the owners manual say ?? You lost me @ 09 of 2000 ?? Do you mean 2009 ?

I think he means 9/2009. His car was manufactured in September of 2000.

Yes I meant September of 2000. Which a to the chart i linked has a GM 5L40 transmisson. Which takes a BMW dealership only ETL 7045E fulid. However the caddy CTS used the same transmisson, which specs Dexron VI.

The owners manual says "lifetime fill" , I don't buy that for a second.

by the way valvoline has a synthetic dex6.
