Amsoil signature Series 10W30 API SN Plus

Hey, how do you see it with a 0W40 fullsaps oil in today's direct injection mould? For me, this is mobile 1 fs 0W40 one of the best oils on the market. But does this full saps really lead to more deposits than a midsaps? Here in Germany, these oils are somewhat under criticism because they are too "old" from additiveisation. How do you see that?

I don't think it was conclusive that SA leads to more deposits in GDI engines, although that seems to be the general consensus. My limited understanding of what oils would be ideal for GDI are based around good oxidation resistance, low Noack, detergent type and esters. Oil that is coming in contact with the valves bakes on to the valves. It's made up of whole oil components, meaning it's not just vapor but rather oil droplets containing all the components in the oil. I think M1 0w40 FS is very good at keeping engines clean and has very high oxidation resistance. I suppose ESP 0w40 would be an even better choice though and would also give you the benefit of lower SA.
