that's odd drive, meaning long stretch of the road without street/road lights and with very very light traffic

Makes me wonder, why did not you stop after the scene? I would surely pull to the side of the road and inspect the car

also, in this environment and driving that long stretch of the 2 lane road I would be honking the horn like crazy, I think that would help minimizing such scene of hitting a deer
