First saw this on the Aviation Herald website.

When you lose either the Y or G hydraulics system, you need to turn off the PTU ( power transfer unit ) or you will overheat the other system and cause it to fail, which it did.

Loss of G + Y Hydraulics, is very serious on the A321.

No auto pilot, no reverse thrust, no flaps ( much faster landing speed ), no yaw damper, flight protections lost ( alternate law ), loss of spoilers, no anti skid ( much longer landing distance ) , loss of nose wheel steering .

Not sure I buy the reason why they never turned off the PTU.

Edit: They also had a “ avionics smoke “ caution.

Never heard of a landing so hard it resulted in the crew putting their oxygen mask on after.

Also, they already had the flaps extended when they lost the second hydraulic system which still allowed them to land with flaps versus had the dual hydraulics failure happened while in clean configuration.

That had to be a hard hit seems like they broke a lot of stuff. I always wondered what shock testing for aircraft was like.

This seems like a classic error of, "pushing the nose down to arrest a balloon" followed by a domino of errors by the flight crew.
The Captain applied TOGA thrust while the nose was down also in another report.

That caused the nose gear to really impact the runway with even more force.

Flared with low speed also due to poor airspeed control on final ( Captain disconnected the auto thrust ).

Interesting information about the CVR…

The airline only notified the Russian Interstate Aviation Committee on January 14, four days after the accident. Investigators believes that after the accident both the voice recorder (CVR) as well as the flight data recorder (FDR) were removed by RMS Technic in Antalya. The voice recorder was fitted to a second Airbus A321 (VP-BHN) flying the return service to Moscow. After arrival in Moscow, it was removed by another maintenance firm and transported back to RMS Technic in Antalya where the recorder was refitted to the original damaged A321, before the inquiry team arrived.

By "fitted" you mean installed in the place of CVR? This would over write the data?

The last paragraph in my post was from another article on the accident.

They took the CVR out of the damaged A321, put it into another aircraft to make sure all the information was recorded over, then put it back into the damaged A321.

Edit: from the Aviation Herald website:

The MAK further reported that both FDR and CVR were recovered in good conditions, the data units were found in good condition, too. However, there was no recording of the accident flight on the CVR. The recording found on the CVR was of the flight N4-1802 from Antalya to Moscow Sheremetyevo of A321-200 VP-BHN of Jan 11th 2020. The investigation determined, that both FDR and CVR had repeatedly been moved between Nordwind's warehouse and the aircraft VQ-BRS and had been installed on VP-BHN. Following the flight N4-1802 from Antalya to Sheremetyevo of VP-BHN the CVR was removed from that aircraft, taken to Antalya in the hand luggage on board of an Aeroflot flight and installed on VQ-BRS by local maintenance personnel (most likely of RMS Technic) before the investigation commission arrived. The commission considers the loss of information recorded on the CVR during an emergency flight became possible as result of violations of regulations, which in case of an incident prohibit the removal, opening, read out or manipulation of such recorders until the arrival of the investigation commission, by Nordwind officials and contracted organisations NV Technic LLC and RMS Technic. These regulations had also been accepted by Nordwind.
