Older Fords as well as several more recent ones use 5w30 so the dealer should have it in stock.

It's possible the technician used the correct oil even though the service writer put the wrong one on the work order.

A place like a dealer should be VIN driven for producing work orders and the systems simply shouldn't allow a service writer to specify incorrect fluids.
 
IMO, as far as engine wear, running 5W20 for 3K-4K miles is better than running 5W-30 for 10K (or further) miles.
Still, when his engine needs timing chain parts, he'll probably just shrug his shoulders and have the dealership fix it.

CharlieBauer the tech using the right oil and service writer putting the wrong one on the work order. Now that is something to think about.
