300k 2,4L Disel need advice

I have a 1995 Toyota Hilux(Tacoma) with 2,4l non turbo engine,it has over 300k on the clock and is loosing power

what oil would you recommend to try to reseal and clean the Rings,the engine is mostly used on short trips rather than long but gets to running temp easy on each trip

well, the first question to ask is, what oil are you running now?? Knowing this can help us to determine might be beneficial to you.

For cleaning the rings, conditioning seals, etc., Auto-RX is a pretty well proven product. I do not know how international purchasing and shipping would work with it, but Id do some searching on this site and their site to learn more. It could do good things for you.

I´m using cheap gas station oil Helix 10-40,i don´t know the previous oil brands,i just got the car 10.000miles ago but very doubtfull that he used Mobile or expensive oil

Has anyone tryed Castrol GTX High Mileage,how did it do?
