2004 Camry Rear defrost disconnected...

Rear defrost is not working. Apparently this is disconnected. But the tab that it's supposed to connect to isn't obviously visible. Before tearing into things I just wanted to check to see if anyone knows where the tab would be. Thanks!

It will have a tab on each side of the grid, the tab may have come off and lost, this can be repaired.

What if you do not have a tab? He said there is non visible.

The tabs are usually hidden under trim in modern vehicles.

It pops off fairly easily

Right, look under the trim.

IIRC, that trim has to come out to access under the package tray to do things like replace rear shocks, etc. May have been overlooked if any work like that was done.

Had a 91 Corolla that had that connector come off, it stayed in the plug.
The Permatex did the job.

I feel a car wash kid was a bit too rough when cleaning the back window
