I do have the original cat still on the car. Car has 64k miles. The exhaust is 3".

How unfashionable. Get your hacksaw and remove that cat immediately!

I ran a testpipe then had the stock muffler cut out. It sounded real nice and was real fast. Maybe weld a thick piece of steel on top of the muffler. The drone is probably coming from the muffler tin canning.

Is it a pellet-style cat? If it is, replace it with a grid type cat. It will make a huge difference in performance.

Not a pellet style, but I am looking to replace it with a hi flow cat/down pipe piece one day down the road.

Tips would have no effect
