I need to try and remove deck sealant from my 22-month old patio.

The idiot company who cleaned and sealed the deck assured me they would protect the patio below the deck (it's a walk-out basement) and brush/roll-on the sealant.

That didn't happen. Obviously, they sprayed the sealant on and let the mist drift wherever. As in, "right to the patio below."

Rather than demand they clean the patio, I want to clean it myself. Those idiots will set a gas pressure washer to 5,000 psi and "remove" the stain by removing a layer of the patio.

Dawn soap and a scrub brush was my first attempt.

My next attempt will be using an electric pressure washer and some type of bio-degradeable cleaner so I don't kill off the landscaping around the patio.

I know: it's likely a gas pressure washer with a higher gpm flow will be required to remotely be successful. But, as with paint detailing, I'm trying the least aggressive corrective action first, then moving upward from that point.

And I'll be sure to "F" the contractor on Angie's List.
